Cert I Construction
The CPC10120 Certificate I in Construction provides foundational skills for entry into the construction industry. It includes the Construction Safety White Card, which is mandatory for accessing any construction site. Depending on elective choices, the course may also include a First Aid Certificate or Working at Heights training.
Upon successful completion, students may be eligible to receive 3 QCE points, contributing towards their Queensland Certificate of Education.
Cert II Resources and Infrastructure Work Preparation
The RII20120 - Certificate II in Resources and Infrastructure Work Preparation is a nationally recognised qualification designed to introduce individuals to entry-level roles in the resources and infrastructure industries. It covers essential safety procedures, workplace communication, and basic operational skills.
Ideal for those looking to start a career in mining, construction, or civil infrastructure, the course provides a foundation for further training and employment. No prior experience is required, making it suitable for school leavers or career changers. Training typically includes a mix of classroom and practical, hands-on learning.
Cert III Surface Extraction
The RII30115 Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operations equips individuals with the practical skills and knowledge needed for work in open-cut mining and quarrying. It covers machinery operation, safety protocols, environmental procedures, and team communication.
Suitable for both new entrants and experienced workers, this nationally recognised qualification supports careers in mining operations, mobile plant operations, and related fields.
Cert III Civil Construction Plant Operations
The RII30820 Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations equips individuals with the skills to operate a range of plant machinery on civil construction sites. It covers tasks such as earthmoving, trenching, and working with road construction equipment.
This nationally recognised qualification includes both theory and practical components, ensuring safe and efficient equipment use. Ideal for those pursuing roles like plant operator or earthmoving equipment operator, it supports employment in infrastructure and construction projects.

Who are these qualifications suitable for?
These qualifications are suitable for school leavers, apprentices, career changers, or experienced workers seeking formal recognition. How long does it take to complete a qualification?
Duration varies depending on the level and delivery method. A Certificate I or II may take a few months, while a Certificate III or IV may take six to twelve months. Timeframes depend on whether the course is delivered full-time, part-time, or through workplace-based training.
What happens after I complete a qualification?
You’ll receive a certificate showing the qualification and completed units. This can be used to apply for jobs, gain a licence, or enrol in higher-level training. Some qualifications may also contribute to school-based learning or government incentive programs.
